At DIS, we value each individual and aspire to create a family through a culture of care. We strive to be an environment where children feel safe and supported. We aim to provide positive role models, fostering key skills for life to include confidence, resilience, empathy, communication, independence, and curiosity among others through inspiring teaching and learning.
Our vision is to raise learners aspirations by motivating them to discover their passion and ‘dream big’ to expand their horizons. Our children will be equipped to continue their journey towards becoming respectful and responsible adults who have integrity and make positive contributions to their community and/or country and beyond.
We give our learners broad and balanced curriculum and encourage them to develop their skills and interests. We aim to focus on the positives and achievements of all and support and correct them whenever they go wrong.
Our teaching staff are very experienced and dedicated to their work and they work hard to give the children the best education they deserve. We are always looking for ways to further develop the skills of our teachers through regular training opportunities by joining forces with the GES and other players in the education sector to provide in-service training for our teachers.
Above all, we are striving to make DIS a community where all are involved i.e., staff, parents, guardians and of course, learners, as well as all key stakeholders. We encourage the views of all and work hard to improve by taking them on board.
